Automatic aquarium fish feeder. Do not confuse this Super Feeder with your average department store "cheapy" fish feeder! This is probably the best feeder you will ever own! Everything needed to feed your fish with this automatic fish feeder for aquarium and other similar application is included. This Super Feeder will distribute flakes dependably like no other! It is extremely versatile in the ways it can be operated. By pre-adjusting the feeder electronically via its internal electronic timer, you can control the amount of flakes or pellets distributed at each cycle by the amount of time it runs (split second to 70 seconds), and by a volume adjustment that controls the amount of food expelled for a given time. It operates with any power source from 6 to 24 volts ac or dc (a 12 vdc power adapter is supplied). It works great with an AquaController or other similar automation system! When the feeder first receives power, it is activated and runs through its pre-adjusted feed cycle totally independent of the length of time the remote timer stays on. When the remote timer is turned off for a short time as preset on the feeder, the feeder's timer is reset for the next trigger. Typically, the supplied remote timer (STYLE MAY VARY) will provide up to at least 24 daily feed cycles. The feeder is placed on a platform, glass cover, or whatever, next to an opening to drop the food through. Lots of ways to install it. This feeder comes with a remote analog timer, our patented "Moisture Trap" funnel, a power adapter and instructions. Get what you pay for, and quit spending money on "toy" feeders! NOTE: This Super Feeder is NOT for outdoor use or cat/dog feeding.

- As many feed cycles as remote timer has "on-off" cycles! It also has a micro-feed volume adjustment for size of food.
- This Super Feeder can be used with a computer based system including internet activation/monitoring with AquaControllers or similar systems.
- Supplied timer (style will vary from picture) will provide a minimum of at least 24 daily feed cycles or more depending on timer used . You can use your own digital timer, purchase the Super Feeder ACDT-20 digital timer or use a home automation system to operate it. A webcam system has also been used.
- Supplied with patented "Moisture Trap" funnelling system for trouble-free flake distribution. Important Super Feeder feature: ALL parts in this feeder can be quickly, economically and easily repaired or replaced without disposal or replacement of the entire feeder.

I bought this item because I was going on vacation and wanted to spare my relatives the bother of feeding my fish. I liked the fact that this feeder has a large hopper which will allow me to feed the fish for the extended period I am away. Given its size and the number of feedings I have programmed, I expect I could be gone a month and not run out of food. (I have a 39 gal. tank with about a dozen fish.)In any case I got it early and set it up on my tank to make sure it would work properly and therefore tried it out for about 3-4 weeks before I went on vacation. It seems to work as advertized. The only problem I encountered was that the hopper extending into the tank tended to fog up with the tank hood completely closed. When it fogged up, the food got stuck to the hopper and as time went by it totally clogged up. I solved the problem by propping the tank hood open about 3/4 of an inch, which allows the vapor to escape the tank and so now it does not fog up. Again... I used this product to feed a 10 pound cat dry food morsels. I used the feeder for exactly 1 year (before the cat died). My cat was an obsessive eater. She would make our lives miserable by begging, rather attacking us for food; waking us up 4 hours before breakfast and purposefully ruining anything we were doing 2 hours or more before dinnertime. We had tried two other automatic feeders during the previous 10 years and she had broken into the two other automatic cat food dishes in no time (one she broke into within minutes). She did not thwart this feeder, she really only tried twice to break into it but gave up fairly quickly and never tried again. I had purchased the chute, which is an accessory, which may or may not have been needed to thwart her attempts. The feeder, itself is much smaller than the pictures reveal, which is a good thing.I had the one hopper (it comes with) and purchased one additional "hopper extension."
